Bhai Daya Singh Ji and Bhai Himmat Singh Ji were two of the Panj Pyare (Five Beloved Ones) in Sikh history. Bhai Daya Singh was born in Lahore and Bhai Himmat Singh was from Jagannath (now Odisha). Both were among the first to offer themselves for Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s initiation into the Khalsa on Baisakhi in 1699. Their act of selfless devotion and bravery exemplified the spirit of sacrifice and equality within the Sikh faith. They played significant roles in upholding the principles of the Khalsa and serving the Sikh community under Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s leadership.
